Junior Club Competition

JUNIOR COMPETITION

Junior competition is on offer Saturday and Sunday mornings, through Waverley District Tennis Association (WDTA).

The Club Junior Convenors are Nick Bell & Jenni Blundell, who are also the Head Coaches at Legend Park TC.

Junior competition players have the advantage of the club coaches tracking their development in matches whilst playing competition on weekends.

The Junior Club Committee selects Winter and Summer teams each year. Please see further details below.

When Can I Play?

Players can select their preferred day, either Saturday or Sunday (or both). Please note this is subject to team grading availability. The Junior Committee will advise you if your personal playing grade is not available on your preferred day.

Saturday Morning: 8:15am sharp start time, 12pm finish time (arrive 8am to meet team / hit up)

Sunday Morning: 8:30am sharp start time, 12:30pm finish time (arrive 8:15am to meet team / hit up)

How Long is Each Season?

Summer and Winter seasons run for 14 weeks. Competition is not scheduled during the school holidays, or long weekends.

What is the Format?

Every player plays singles and doubles each week (in finals this may be rotated so that all team members can participate).

How Many Players in a Team?

There are usually 3 to 4 players consisting in a team. This is subject to change depending on player availability.

Do I Need to be a Club Member to Play?

Yes, players are required to be have a current Junior Club financial Membership to be eligible to play competition. This is separate to any coaching fees.

What is the Fee to Play Competition?

A $20.00 registration / ball fee is payable per season.
